Last Saturday, we put the plants to bed. Literally. So, here they are, three weeks ahead of what we have been told is the last frost date, May 15. We’re taking a chance, but really not so much so. Why? Because we have more plants where these came from. We set out 8 tomato plants Saturday, and we only have 92 tomato plants left! Okay, so we over-did it, but we’ll give some away if we don’t have to call up the “reserves.” In the meantime, here are some photos of the square-foot garden. We still have some seeds to plant — beans mostly — but the tomatoes, peppers, squash, zucchini, lettuce, cabbage, radishes, and broccoli are in the ground and doing fine. Stay simple (and if you need any tomato plants, let us know!).
